It’s been a while in the works now, but I’m so stoked to finally announce my partnership with @fujifilm_northamerica. To start me off right, they set me up with an X-T3 and a couple of lenses (XF16-55mm + XF50-140mm), so I decided to take it out around my hometown and film 100% only the things I love to do. I texted a few buddies and we filmed everything we wanted to over a weekend. This is the result. #buildyourlegacy

If I could design my dream location with an unlimited budget, I still wouldn’t be able to imagine a place as beautiful and inviting as this. If I wasn’t convinced before about buying my own cabin on a blue lake somewhere, I am now. . . . . . #pnwonderland#pacificnorthwest
Posting this bad boy entirely for the audio haha, because this truly sums up the day. This past Wednesday, each of us ran out those sauna doors straight into the glacial lake head-first over 25 times each over a 6 hour period before hiking back down for dinner. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. Cheers to @emmett_sparling for filming this, and yet again a huge thank you to @whitecap for hosting us and making this day possible.
There are lots of different ways to wake up, but only a few you will remember for the rest of your life. Jumping directly out of the sauna into a glacial fed lake is one of those memorable ones. Currently making plans to get my own waterfront sauna somehow. Shot by @emmett_sparling and edited by me using his new preset pack
Just spent the last four days up in the fog, living out of a heli-access lodge somewhere in the mountains above Pemberton. It was pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted summed up in one week: blue lakes, mist, rain, green trees, glowing cabins, heli rides, and a waterfront sauna to top it off. Photos coming. @whitecap #surprisinglygood
I have been travelling near constantly since 2017. It’s a pretty demanding lifestyle but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Everywhere I’ve been has had a positive impact on my life and made me who I am today. Now that I’ve been on the road for so long, I know what it takes to do it well, and that requires taking every precaution. If I don’t know I’m protected, I go into a project apprehensive and don’t produce my best work. That’s why I’ve been very careful the last couple years to always carry the most comprehensive Travel Insurance ...
Last night camped out at Jones Lake with @zmelhus - we managed to capture this tilted axis that I’ve never seen before in a star timelapse. The whole galaxy seems to be gliding on a two dimensional plane like a hockey puck skidding across ice. Also, remind me to bring an umbrella or something next time cause the lens got soaking wet from dew like half way through the timelapse
Tomorrow morning this young legend leaves the team behind for a 4 month long mission to Alberta. We’ve done endless amounts of exploration around this continent together these past couple years, and more is to come in the future. @cole.lundberg you will be missed, but great things await you on the other side of those Rocky Mountains . . . . . side note can you spot the sensor spots on my 4 year old camera body (we’re up to 500k exposures by now lol)
Been chasing good light and minimal wind at this spot for years every since I saw @matthewhahnel absolutely wild set here back in August 2016, and finally, in August of 2019, got to see it with my own two eyes and some good buddies. These things take time. // I’ve hiked up here many times, either on my own, or with big groups, or with small groups, or one other buddy, and even met some people on this trail who are now friends, and only ever saw this place with either stillness or good light, sometimes neither, but never both ...
