Hades is all packed for tomorrow’s firing / The last month has been incredibly frustrating with my previous kiln load exploding, pushing back my deadlines by weeks. Channeling that frustration and mega stress into new things which will hopefully be better. Definitely one of those realisation moments that my work is my livelihood and what seems like a small fuck up to some can have huge implications financially. When you already work your ass off everyday for the inconsistent money you make that then just goes back into your practice it can be overwhelming. My mum just keeps reminding me ...

Our great sculpture exhibition is still on at 101 Ryrie Street, Geelong. If you haven’t seen it yet you still have a few more days to do so. The annual sculpture exhibition’s writer event is happening on Saturday 19th (2-4pm) and Kaye Clancy and I will be at the gallery all day from 11 am to 4 pm and would love heaps and heaps of visitors. #sculpture#ceramicsculpture
Now that my sculptures are out of the bisque, I used black underglaze on this piece to bring out texture. This is one of my favorite techniques, but there are a few things I wished I had done differently while creating the texture.
